   The app I chose for my smackdown presentation was TeacherPayTeachers. This app is a resource for teachers all over the globe. Within the app there are various tabs with different subjects you will be teaching within your classroom. Within these tabs you are able to select grades from Pre K to High school for supplemental activities and resources you can use or share within your classroom. 

    I hold this resource very near and dear to my heart and have used it various times in my 10 years I've worked with kiddos. You can find anywhere from classroom decor, addition and subtraction activities and even games for your students in any subject. When you purchase or download these resources you're supporting another educator like yourself and creating a connected community just like in the chapter six reading. This site allows teachers to build each other up and support one another while gaining more assistance with their lesson plans that can sometimes take ages to complete.

    After reading Chapter 6 in The Connected Educator it heavily focused on the idea of creating a good connected community. It explained early on how they were formed and even how to evolve. I think the more important topics that were discussed within chapter six were providing roles and responsibilities, selecting a passionate leader to lead the community, and simply just building trust within each other.  Source: https://action4connection.org/     David Lee created something called the "4L model" which focused on how people of the community "self selected" their roles by the ways they chose to participate. The 4L's were Linking, Lurking, Learning, and Leading.
